What Is NCCER?
NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) is a nonprofit organization created by major construction companies to set industry-standard training and credentials for the construction and skilled trades workforce.
NCCER credentials are widely accepted by employers, contractors, and training programs across the U.S.
What Students Learn (14-Week Course)
NCCER Core teaches the essential knowledge and hands-on skills every tradesperson needs, including:
Jobsite and workplace safety (OSHA-aligned)
Construction math
Introduction to hand and power tools
Basic construction skills
How to read simple construction drawings
Rigging and material handling
Jobsite communication and professionalism
Spring - BONUS - Three (3) hand on training in electric and plumbing skills (non NCCER classes provided by River City Hope Street)
By the end of the program, students gain confidence, practical skills, and a clear understanding of what to expect in their chosen trade.
