Help Equip Our Future Tradespeople!

At River City Hope Street, our upcoming spring NCCER class is ready to launch — but we need your support to make sure our students have the right tools in hand. The full toolkit list is available here: NCCER Core Toolbox

You can help in two meaningful ways:

  1. Donate tools from the list — every wrench, tape measure, hard hat or glove makes a difference.

  2. Donate funds to purchase any of the remaining tools we’ve yet to receive so that our students are fully equipped from day one.

By contributing, you’re investing in local talent, in job-readiness, and in our community’s future. Thank you for considering this support — together we’ll build more than just skills; we’ll build hope.

Celebrate Hope Street Stories

Come hear inspiring stories from our students and learn how their lives have been changed by the support of people just like you. We will also share our vision and goals for the coming year and invite you to partner with us as we continue building a stronger, more hopeful community.

Trades Instructor - I came to River city Hope Street for two reasons: First to tell students about the love of God and how it can transform their lives. Secondly, God has given me a passion for teaching young people the basic principles of the electrical trade and I get great pleasure from them understanding what I teach them and being able to put it into practice. This makes them more valuable in society and be able to do good quality work in the Electrical trade. I am very thankful for this opportunity and feel very honored to be able to continue to do it. - Steve Lyons

We taught an ESL Level 1 class through River City Hope last spring and are excited to start our class again in August.  We were both in education as our lifelong profession before we retired a few years ago.  It was a natural step to serve the people in our community through teaching. We strive to inspire, encourage and motivate our students.  The students are so eager to learn and work so hard to acquire English language skills.  It is extremely rewarding to see the progress that they make during the months we are together.   They are always so appreciative of our commitment to help them improve in reading, writing and speaking the language.  Their dedication is an inspiration to us.  They don't take this opportunity for granted and it is such a joy to get to know students from so many different countries. - Ed and Carol Yartym
